Ali Baba's falafel in New York. Down there by Washington Square Park. Course, it's 3000 miles away, so I don't get there as often as I'd like...
Falafel in NYC??? I thought it was available only in the Middle East...
Sorry, but I am not an ethusiast of this meal...
NYC, San Francisco, L.A., et al. More of a salad bowl than a melting pot, but the U.S. has all kinds of people in its cities...
Mmmm, falafel. A friend of mine hated the stuff and insisted on signing it by combining "full" and "awful" (as in "totally awful.)
It runs the gamut. I've had some that was really, really bad (particularly in small towns on the west coast) and some that I'm willing to say makes the best 2-dollar meal I've ever had. That and Santa Cruz, CA tacqueria burritos. Mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmm, mmmmmm.....

we get those tacqueria commercials here. (our shows are tape delayed one week out of san francisco) i'm going there whenever i get back to california.
tonight since i have to stay at the office to do paperwork again, i have a gourmet meal set before me. not really fast food, except that you can eat it directly.
two, count em two, cans of delicious libby's vienna sausage. one jar of talk o' texas hot okra pickles and a jar of whole marinated mushrooms. plus a couple or three heineken's.
life is good.
I love those okra pickles - they're the best!
The Pizza Hut pizza I had last night was very nice. Perfect amount of washing up too.
That is THE best thing about take-out!
Sonics footlong cheese coney with mustard and onions - tater tots please!
Brian was shocked when I told him that tater tots are not available in restaurants (fast food or otherwise) where I come from. They are available in the freezer section of the market and at breakfast on Saturdays in the university cafeterias, but that's about it.
We have teaser ads from Sonic, but there are no Sonic restaurants.
Sad.
I've always been perplexed by the Sonic ads as well. I think the closest one to Mass is North Carolina!
I just went and looked to see what their offerings are. Pancake on a stick (pancake wrapped around a sausage on a stick), fried pickles - bring it on!
That's some artery clogging stuff. .......mmmm.....pancakes.......
Sugar, have you ever had a chicken fried steak sandwich - wowzer!
I wish....sigh....maybe I could buy a franchise and start a Sonics in Mass! Then I could quit this lousy job and be a millionaire and all my friends could eat for free.
Pancakes on a stick for everyone!
Pancakes on a stick! I'll come visit!
You know what else we need? Jack in the Box. Great breakfast sandwich.
Just for you, Sugar, I'll have a pancake on a stick tonight. (If they serve them all day that is!) If not, it'll have to wait for the weekend. We have Sonic here, but I almost never go. Pancake on a stick sounds like something I must try!
Sonic serves everything on their menu all the time!
I just had some leftover tater tots for lunch. Too funny. No Sonics here either, but we have In&Out, so who cares?
Sonics Cream Pie Shakes - ummm-mmmmmmmm!
