Rescuing defenseless, but oil-rich, Iraq from the evils of mass-murdering and torturing Saddam Hussein, in order to replace him with an identical Bush-controlled puppet-regime has not been cheap.
By the end of the year, apart from billions of taxpayers' dollars being spent for the unforeseeable future, over 16,000 dead Iraqis, more than 1,200 dead Coalition forces, 110,000 maimed and injured Iraqis and around 12,000 maimed and injured Coalition forces, all thanks to our brave and heroic leaders from the security of their bunkers in Washington.
For less of the same, you know who to elect ..... providing the Supreme Court lets you!
Not to mention expensive.
$87 billion this year. Bush wants $25 billion next year, and $50 billion the year after that.
Imagine what we could've accomplished in this country putting America first with $162 billion dollars? But putting America and Americans first is a radical "commie" notion to the neocons.
Well bush is butting america and the amercians first, all that money ensures 1) security 2) secure oil supplies 3) a secure election (where unlike his poppy he can brag about beating saddam) and last but not least a secure retirement for the administration members thanks to all the war profiteering by haliburton and the gale group.
