Jordan has been a great ally of the US for many years. It's good to have a friend like that in the Middle East. And it's good to have a moderate voice among Arabs.

I was really sorry to hear of King Hussein's death. He was quite a man.

We have a saying in Turkish goes along the lines.... when a friend tells, he tells truthfully.... thats why friends' advice should be heeded to, especially Abdullah's. He is the voice of moderation as far as the arabs are concerned, but he is mighty lonely, and lately the US administration is doing his best to discredit him with his arab buddies (bush's support of sharons unilateral withdrawal from gaza).

The way things are going Abullah might have a civil uprising in his hands, courtesy of his "friends"
