The arrogance and stupidity of the CIC, his group of screw-ups and the Military disgust me.

Anytime I run across more of their stupidity I will post it.

Well, perception the masque in question is no ordinary neighborhood mosque. Do you know who abu-hanifa was? He is the founder of one of the mainstream suni sects. And he is burried in the mosque grounds, there fore it is a shrine as much as a place of worship. The attitude of the US soldiers and their disrespectful behavior there would anger many more muslims than a simple raid into a simple mosque would. Therefore I think that there is some point in pistoffs assertion that the particular event demonstrates the stupidity of at least the command in iraq. As far as arrogance is concerned I dont think one needs any more proof than just listening to your president.

you would think that if it was such a holy place that they would keep from putting it at risk by staying away from it.

As far as other mosques and raids go, keep the weapons and the bad guys using weapons out of the mosques and the US will stay out as well.

How about the US stays out of where it has no business of being to begin with, and everything else would subsequently be a moot point. Unless you feel that invading a sovereign nation, murdering its people and turning it into one huge wasteland while building military bases everywhere and seizing its resources is perfectly within your right, McGentrix.

Right McG there were weapons and fighters in the Abu-Hanifa mosque, and the US troops were fired upon from there, but out of respect for the local religion they just contended themselves with trotting the mosque with their boots on, shooting at the walls and such minor acts.

"ethnocentrism" must have entered the english dictionary to describe your way of thinking.

Your exaggerations are meaningless.

See, the way I see it they are risking their lives to protect the mosque by entering it. They could just drop a bomb or two on it and that would certainly take care of any hostiles that are using the mosques as hide outs. But, the US doesn't do that.

Really. Point out one exaggeration and show me how it is meaningless, with points instead of easily thrown judgements.

well american troops have been known to do just that with any minor provacation, sometimes without any. The killing of journalists at the palestine hotel was just such a case, they claimed to be fired upon from the building, and all the journalists staying there say that there was no shooting on the americans.

what argument are you presenting to us, as to why these 6 points are exaggerations and are meaningless?
