William F. Buckley, Jr.: Exit Rumsfeld?

Aghast.

Bush needs to throw somebody over board if he is to appear in control and salvage his reelection. Rumsfeld is the obvious choice and Buckley is giving Bush cover from the GOP right wing. This article attempt to limit the damage by placing the blame on the DOD and divert attention from the broader behavior of this administration as a whole. Buckley is engaged in damage control.
