you hit the quote button that's next to the reply button, like I just did.

just in case the other thread was a bit confusing.

1. Left click and drag the area you wish to "quote". It will light up blue
2right click and copy to save what you jut highlighted
3 you now have a line quoted and saved
4 go to your response and , as you reply, and wherever you wish to insert that quote, just left click the quote button and it will appear as this in your reply box



I then spread the two boxes part and insert my saved quote in between the two boxes. enter and you now should see your quote in a dialogue box

You don't see that to enable until you look at your preferences, see dark blue band at the bottom of page.

You can listen to me or not, Farmer, but checking preferences is easier.

Huh. I did not know that.

I'll have to practice that.
I've wondered how people divided up quotes. Thanks.

I only did that because sometimes MY COMPUTER goes completely bonkers

Thanks everyone, i am now able to do so.

I never noticed the small label over the Reply box where it says

Show BBCode editor

Since it uses a pale green color font, and i always use small font setting on my browser.

In case Farmer wonders, he's way up there on people I listen to, and he is likely way more agile with new internet access modes than I am. So, I'm not making fun of him much.

This tutorial is a little outdated but should still be helpful for you to learn some of the other quirks of the A2K site.
