Furniture layout question

I just bought an apartment and I'm wondering what I can do with the corner marked with an X. The wall between the kitchen and the living room is where I plan to put my TV and I thought of buying a sectional couch, but that creates a dead corner. Is there a better way of laying out my living room?

@bktonyc,
Make it a sitting or reading room. An area for quiet reflection.

A nice armchair with a hassock, a side table with a lamp and room for a drink and there you go.

Stuffed animal feature corner.

Looking at the dimensions, in addition to several trout, salmon or marlin cabinets on the wall, you could fit anything from a Chamois right up to a Wildebeest on the adjacent floor space.

I assume there are windows? I could be wrong on that.

Anyway, being me, I'd put up, from the edge of the windows and then around the corner, shelves for books or music or art or my collection of whatsis's with a couple of comfortable chairs and small table of your choice.

Or you could make it a dance floor.

Make your TV wall corner more attractive with nice wallpapers that would be looking more good.

@nurein,
Ooh, good idea!

And to make the nearby Wildebeest look more good, one could also paint it in seasonal shades, and hang glittery things on it at Christmas.

@Lordyaswas,
You could also apply moisturizer around your eye lid or apply milk cream at your eye lid before you go to sleep.

First of all congratulations for your new apartment.
The corner right there can be equipped with a relaxing chair with a small magazine table. This will add a very good look to your living room and the empty corner will become the live corner of the living room.
It will be the place for every body where they can relax and read....

@bktonyc,
Why not have a storage cabinet? You can utilize the spot and make it into a functional mini library.

@RayJordan,
Why don't you put in one of those corner couches? Or you could put a desk there and do some work from there..? It depends if you're having a lot of friends over or you're more of a loner..

@bktonyc,
If you are having your tv wall mounted then you could use that section as a media corner (DVD's, Blu-rays, Games Etc.) but if it was me since i use cd cases I would put my router there along with any other wireless devices like a radio.
