Over the past decade, Saudi Arabia has transferred half a billion dollars to Al Qaeda and at least 100 million to the Taliban, Saudi Arabia's Wahhabi-controlled mosque schools are hothouses of militant Islamic extremism. Terrorist acts in Bali, Kenya, Bosnia, and Chechnya all point back to these schools, so do the 3,000 deaths of 9-11.
They're probably the most sexually repressed people in the world. Women are kept out of reach of men until the day they marry. After that joyous occasion, the husbands keep their wives locked up at home until the day they die. Only 5% of women work. A woman cannot drive, if she needs to go somewhere, a male first cousin, brother, or father has to chauffeur her. Even then she is allowed to go only to gender-segregated malls, restaurants, and swimming pools. If she's ever unfortunate enough to be caught in the act of adultery, she's stoned to death, along with her lover.
Saudi Arabia tops the world in public beheadings. Foreign workers are virtually without rights in Saudi Arabia. No one in the kingdom, national or visitor, can practice any religion but Islam. Anyone caught putting up a Christmas wreath is lashed.
Hell, during the first Gulf War, our US soldiers weren't even allowed to carry a bible.
And they also really haven't cooperated with us when it comes to Al Qaeda.
So why are they our allies ?
Maybe it has something to do with the close connection between the Saudi royal family and Bush family????
hi Cereal- Saudia Arabia isn't our ally. They hold fundraisers to raise money for terrorists and teach their youth that Christians are "pigs' and "apes."
But, the Bush family and the royal Faad family go back a half a century. In fact, that fool currently in the WH used to play with the children of the Faad family at the Bush compound in Kennebunkeport when they visited the USA.
Bush clearly has more loyalty to his Saudi pals than the American people.
Why do you think Prince Bandar (it's a name out of Star Wars!) said the Saudis will lower oil prices by increasing oil production just before the election? Helping to ensure another 4 years of this national tragedy?
