@ossobuco,
Talking with myself again -

re loyalty: when I was a teen and lived in Los Angeles and got to be a sports minded girl (I blame the horse, Swaps, thus reading the sports pages which sometimes had good writing, or so I thought at 14, a way for me to get more interested in newspapers), I couldn't stand the L.A. Rams, and even now I don't give a hoot about the Dodgers as a team, for layered reasons, including ownership obliterating part of the city long ago, back then, scrape, scrape - but also re the team. Maybe I heard too much about it.

This was kind of neat, as it developed, in that I can tune into a lot of games of many sports and pick a team, depending on what I am seeing.

Last I read, maybe ten minutes ago, B/H was holding up.

lots of "I can't talk about this"

I thought it best not to mention my heritage.

@ehBeth,
Are you still at work, ebeth?

I've just spoken to my boy who is having breakfast on Tuesday, and it is 11pm Monday here and I'm heading for bed.

As Captain Jack Sparrow says....."It's a funny ol' weld"

I'd like Neymar to go scoreless tomorrow, and Pantalones to score a lot of points from his number 5 choice. Wink

@fbaezer,
Would you or Pantalones take a 5-4 win (with Neymar scoring 4)? I know I would!

@lmur,
I would take a a 5-4 with Neymar scoring 4 and Mexico scoring 5 on 5 own goals. I wouldn't even have to think about it

@Pantalones,
Don't be cruel, Pantos, they'll burn Marcello at the stake.

@fbaezer,
I don't want noone burning, at most I want him to look lost when asked "what happened?" in the post game interview.

If Cameroon can take Croatia tomorrow night that will (practically) guarantee Mexico's progression. A big if, mind you.

Wow! That was an incredible performance by Ochoa, holding off Neymar and the Seleção juggernaut.

The whole Mexican defense was outstanding. Including even Maza, who made only two mistakes but had a great save. Ochoa was in a pure state of grace.
Now, if the goals were 4-5 inches taller, we would've beaten Brazil 4-0, to say the least.

None of our strikers scored today, so yesterday's results are still valid.
