I was left a painting entitled "Girl by the Well." It has to be from the 19th century since it was my grandmother's from the time she was married, and she died at age 75 in 1965. The signature is hard to read, but it looks like Sirot, or possibly Sipot. It is in a very ornate, gilded frame, but that may have been changed by my aunt, who died at age 95 in 1990. I would welcome any help in identifying it. Thanks.
@LRB,
how can anyone identify a painting if one cannot see it?.
Im going to let you think about that a bit.
@farmerman,
LRB must be related to the person who wanted help apprasing her snail fossil.
