To those that think the earth is 6000 years old

Point of Information:
Is there a reason to believe that we cannot see or receive light that is older than this planet ?

Is there a problem with our receiving light that began to move in this direction
before this planet came into existence ?


FOR THE RECORD:
I remain confident that the age of the Earth is about 4, 6OO, OOO, OOO years.


I believe that the argument that u raise is applicable
to refute any allegation that the ENTIRE UNIVERSE is too young
for light to have moven that far.

That proves only that the nearest spiral galaxy is at least 2.5 million years old.
The earth is probably much older.
A lot of folks don't realize the Bible allows for that.

actually its 6428 (-91 /+156), it was 6000 years old 400 years or so ago

Time is stretchy and elastic, so God can rewind or fast forward it any time he pleases..

"Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down" (Isaiah 38:8 )

"With God a thousand years are as one day" (2 Peter 3:8 )

so it took 7000 years to create the earth, not 7 days

Don't take the symbology too literally or you'll think a talking snake really did chat to Eve..
