One of my modern day singy girls, who, when she does her shouty bit, is guaranteed to make one's manly vegetables tingle somewhat.

Beverley Knight live at the Albert Hall (D-Day concert). What a belter!

Great stuff, Lordy. I have been contributing fewer and fewer songs, as i go back to listen to all the great songs people have posted, and to listen to them again.

@Setanta,
I keep promising myself to go through these music threads and make a list of downloads for my ipod whatsamydoodah.
There are loads of tracks from people who I'd never heard of before, but who are really good.
Once I put down the paint brush and brush the dust off, I'm going to do it.

One who, in my view, epitomised 50's glamour and who could definitely "own the stage"....

Peggy Lee.

When The World Was Young.

Lordy she was a very talented song writer.

@panzade,
Nice! It's odd that I actually never knew her name or the name of that band even though I've heard that song a million times. Razz
