An Average Day In Iraq?

Whilst the administration refuse or dare not admit (or count officially) the numbers of Iraqi casualties since they usurped control of Iraq, the general in charge did confess casually that today's toll was in excess of one hundred killed, maimed or injured.

Assuming this was a standard day and for the mathematically inclined, this would come to around at least 36,500 Iraqi casualties in this year alone ..... and this is what the White House oil-looters and their butt-kissing allies call "Operation Iraqi Freedom".

Taking the torture of prisoners and the toll of innocent Iraqi victims into account, it is not surprizing if many Iraqis believe that the evils of Saddam were infinitely healthier for their nation than the price of Bush democracy.

Iraq
I suspect that we are finding out what Saddam already knew. Iraq is a very hard country to govern in any manner because it was created by the British after WWI on an artificial, not a ethnic or cultural compatibility basis.

I heard a provocative question yesterday. It went something like this:
Is Iraq the way it is because of Saddam, or was Saddam the way he was because of Iraq?

I wonder if both answers are correct.

If we include the ever increasing tolls of Coalition dead, maimed-for-life and injured, than continued support for these Nazi-style atrocities and criminality of the Bush Administration, also using vast amounts of taxpayers' money, would seem almost beyond belief.

Yet millions of voters must approve, because they are planning to vote for years more of the same, whatever the consequences at home and overseas.

The "good" germans
John, if the US citizenry reelect George W to a second term, then those that support him and his administation are no different than the so-called "good Germans" of WWII who turned a blind eye to Hitler's reign.

Should the Bush administration fail in their efforts to continue covering-up the true numbers of deaths, maimings and injuries, on all sides in Iraq, during the run-up to the election, even the brain-dead amongst the electorate may find it impossible to ignore reality.

If Bush is re-elected, I would blame the Democrats for not supporting a strong enough candidate to beat him in an election.
