Blaming others has always the standard policy of the most slimy crooked obscenities in all areas of public life.
Therefore, it should surprize no one when many crocodile tears are wept in public, by those responsible for the killing and injury of tens of thousands of innocents in Afghanistan and Iraq, over the suffering and torture of a comparatively few Iraqi prisoners.
Nor that the blame for those atrocities should quickly travel downwards, from those in charge of the White House, through the chain of command, right down to soldiers at the lowest military levels, who were probably doing their duty to the nation by obeying the orders of their superiors.
However, should those who gave the orders escape in a whitewash of responsibility at higher levels, then there could be a massive price to be paid in the form of breakdowns in future military discipline and recruitment.
After all, who wants to risk being jailed for obeying orders?
The only thing Bush and company are sorry about is that they got caught. You notice how they 'won't be surprised' if more photos and videos are found? Of course not, they've been ordering this stuff for years!
