Are the media missing yet another genocide?

And, Tarantulas, Don't forget that the Germans tried to exterminate a race- The Jews. Since Germany is about 55% Lutheran and 38% Roman Catholic, it would seems that the country qualifies as a Christian country, in name if not in reality.

I was responding to ILZ's hyperbole and trying to determine when the Christion religion as a group had tried to exterminate a race. IIRC Hitler's "final solution" was not a product of any religion.

Yeas when you have madmen who are christians or jews it is independent of religion but when they are muslims it is their religion right? Go get yourself a brain you ignorant moron.

You cant generalize anything across 1 billion people except for the fact that they are muslims. Also you want to talk genocide.... look at the balkans, far as I know orthodox are christians, so are the catholics.

There are far more more fanatical Muslims than Fanatical Christians.

The worst a fanatical Christian will do is get on TV and beg for money so they can get laid. We've seen some of the things that fanatical Muslims do...

Prove that, please.

I disagree that this is the worst they will do. A woman here in Deep-In-The-Hearta recently bashed her children in the head, dead, with a rock because God told her to do it.

And there are thousands of other examples, as I am sure you know, now that you have taken a moment to think about it.

Pray tell, what is the difference between what God is telling her and what God is telling Our Glorious President?

The notion that one religion is better than another (specifically, that Christianity is better than Islam) has gotten millions of people killed. Read your history. You can start with the Spanish Inquisition.

George Bush (on instructions from his Higher Father, naturally) is attempting to Gaza-fize the rest of the Middle East, and perhaps the world.

This has got to stop.

Are you saying that fanaticism = insanity? The woman you speak of was abviously insane.

George Bush's religious beliefs are far more acceptable than, let's say Osama Bin Laden's. He wants everyone dead who is not Muslim. Bush want's everyone free from the oppression of people like Bin Laden.

So, one wants death, the other wants freedom, and you can't tell the difference?

Abviously.

I don't think you accurately represent Mr. bin Laden's intentions. I believe he wants exactly the same thing George Bush does: freedom, interlopers out, and a bounty on the heads of those who oppose him.

Both want freedom, through the death of the other (and those who support him).

Explain the difference to me again?

No, Osama wants ALL Americans dead. He doesn't care about freedom. He hates. Without 9/11 or any attacks on the US, Osama would still be free to spout his hate and have his freedom. But, he would still want all Americans dead.

Oh, and dissing me for a spelling error? Uncalled for and childish.

I disagree. Prove your contention.

You spell like a child -- terribly, unless you are plagiarizing someone else's writing, then suddenly it seems as if you have achieved a higher plane of communication. (The state of Avaia, I believe...)

McG, this is a forum for the written word. Misspelling words is an embarrassment. I'm embarrassed when I misspell something; that you are not, and lash out at the person who corrects the spelling is so immature as to be laughable.

And don't get me started on the laugh quotient of your opinions...

Osama's Fatwa

Quote:
On that basis, and in compliance with God's order, we issue the following fatwa to all Muslims: The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies-civilians and military-is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy mosque [Mecca] from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim.

You can also take your criticism of my writing and stick it in your ear.

C'mon now, read to the end:

Quote:

I interpret this to mean that he stops killing when the interlopers leave.

No, I'm not willing to take Osama at his word either (another comparison to Bush, alas); still, that is the expressed intention.

Too bad you react so unpleasantly to constructive criticism re: your atrocious spelling. Speaks ill of you.

the same terms of service also forbids "use language that abuses or discriminates on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ...." your generalization is I believe in violation of that rule and I as a Muslim find it offending.

OK, I'll grant you that you already have a brain, so I take the moron back.

Yeah? When is the last time the Christians exterminated a race?

The obvious retort that attempting to do so and failing, as in the Nazi attempt to exterminate the Jews, is as reprehensible as attempting to do so and succeeding. What a load of bigoted crap--the last aboriginal inhabitants of Van Dieman's Land, now Tasmania, died early in the 20th Century. How many small bands and septs of Amerindian tribes have been obliterated will likely never be fully known--what is known, however, is how frequently the attempt has been made. The Teutonic Knights, just for passtime, used to hunt down Balts and Letts on the excuse that they were pagans, and fair game to hunted as are animals.

Keep your white bigotry to yourself, Tara, it has no place here.

The former Yugoslavia is a perfect example. The Slovenes and Croatians are Catholic, by and large. The Serbs are Orthodox. The Bosnians and Kosovars are, ostensibly Muslim. Karadzic, the vile Sarajevo psychiatrist who was the driving force behind Bosnian Serb propaganda, was careful to always describe the Bosnians as "Turks." This appealled both to the ancient racial hatred the Serbs nurse against their traditional enemy for a millenium, as well as being a cryptic reference to Islam, seen as the enemy of Orthodoxy.

During the Crusades, the good christians cannibalized Muslim prisoners, for Christ's sake, and the christian monks who accompanied them are the historical source for the event.

Get a clue, Right Wingnuts, no race, religion or political creed on the planet or anywhere in history is simon pure.
