People keep saying that no WMD's were found in Iraq. Maybe those first 6 that were destroyed were all they had, and they were planning to make more. Wasn't evidence found that proved that plan?

thats a great reason to justify this war. Sign me up. Im a believer. lets invade Chile, because thats where all the niter comes from.

Why havent we invaded N Korea? They have parades where they show off their WMDs. We dont need sophisticated sat photos.

Ill answer the above. Cause N Korea would fight back.

We only invade countries that have a high probability of delivering successful news to our f uer... ah h president.

What are these "6" WMD that were found and destroyed? I'm aware of ten or so old artillery shells that might have contained mustard gas that were found rusted and non functional buried at a military base, but that's about it. According to news reports over the past year it seems that most of Hussian's weapons plans were shams and that the scientist involved were lying to him, mostly to keep the funding going. According to news reports of the last week the occupation authority has resorted to torture to get information and still no WMD have been found. It seems obvious that there were none.

L.R.R. Hood,

Those are *not* WMDs by any definition of the term. They are simply missles that have a range a wee bit longer than Iraq was allowed under the terms of their surrender.

They are delivery systems, the payload would have to have included a WMD for it to classify (and it didn't).

From the cnn link:

Saying it wanted to destroy as many as nine missiles on Monday, Iraq continued the destruction of the Al-Samoud 2 missiles at Al Taji, the primary location for Iraq's long-range missile program. The military installment north of Baghdad houses a storage facility for the missiles.

Separately, Iraqi scientists say they will report back to U.N. weapons inspectors in a week on their plans to confirm Baghdad's claims that all of the nation's anthrax and VX nerve gas stockpiles have been destroyed, U.N. officials said.

So LRRHood, what's the problem? Resolution 1441, passed by the Security Council in November, ordered Iraq to destroy chemical, biological and nuclear weapons and long-range missiles.

Now, you're criticizing them for complying?

No. I thought I remembered that those they destroyed were WMD's. Craven pointed that out, and I responded.
