Flight, house and car rental booked and done. Heading South in July for the express purposes of relaxation and fun. Yep. Florida... in July... and I am supposed to be able to relax in that ridiculous heat?

Anyways, Disney 2days, Universal 2 days and a trip to Cape Canaveral for one day. Any suggestion for where to eat and such?

@McGentrix,
Rae used to like a place called Rusty's. I believe it's in Canaveral and definitely overlooks the water. A bunch of us ate there in a gathering somewhere around 2004, and thought it was good.

I wish Rae and Misti were still around. They could tell you everything you needed to know about the costal regions.

In July? You're kidding.

@McGentrix,
Take money. If you go to Disney World, take lots of money.

It ain't the heat, it's the humidity. Florida in July? I'm drenched just thinking about it.

I'd rather be in Phoenix in July, I think. And I really don't want to be in Phoenix in July.

Enjoy!

P.S., I think Brandon's got the right idea ... go to Winter Park ... Colorado!

@McGentrix,
If you want to do a Disney restaurant and know ahead of time that it is going to be expensive, the Garden Grill at Epcot is excellent. It serves a lot of fresh food directly from the hydroponics labs below. Be sure to take the boat ride below the restaurant past the cheesy exhibits into the labs. Also at Epcot, there is a excellent pizza restaurant in the Italy exhibit and stop for dessert in France where you can get just about any pastry. You can usually make reservations online for any Disney restaurant.

I am not looking forward to the heat but kids and school and stuff. I am uncomfortable when it gets much over 70... I fully intend to melt or combust or die.

I found out last night that Universal is two parks? Studios and Islands of Adventure?

Disney doing Epcot and was indeed planning to eat in Italy as my wife lives for Italian food and she had a good meal there 17 years ago.

I am renting a house this time so I will have a grill. That will keep me happy I think. It was actually cheaper to do that then a hotel.

Also, I discovered flying into Tampa saved me $400 so I am renting a Cadillac for the week. Woot.

@McGentrix,
Post pics (maybe not of you melting, though). Good news on the flying into Tampa.
