My "life" today is stripping paint off the front door and repainting, but it's been raining, so maybe I'll spend a bit more time on the forum...so have just put kettle on again. Smile

What's with this Bathanshauung or whatever it was? Sounds very serious.

I do maintenance around the house year round, but I have 'never' done any stripping of paint; I just paint over the old one. Wink

Hmm... a gathering in Walter's hometown? ...sounds interesting. Very Happy

jjorge note that Walter passed right over my suggextion we all stay with him without comment. I think an A2k camp out in his back yard or balcony would be so much fun.

Joanne, back to the girl/boy scout roots?

Wouldn't be a great problem - especially the old ladies living in the basement would like it - and the passer-bys from the nearby guest-houses/santorium, who use a small lane as short cut Laughing

(And you only want to watch THAT squirrel live, I think  )

Walter,

Please note that I said I 'Stepped out'.

'Coming out' is an entirely different matter.

Joanne,

I'll stay at the Motel 6. They must have one of them in Walter's hometown, right?

Mind you, there are different coming outs!

No, we don't have Motel 6's here, no "Formule 1" etc either.

But guesthouses/hotles, like this one http://www.bad-waldliesborn.com/af_housings/pictures/pic_tenbrockhaus_1_big.jpg offer rooms with breakfast for about $ 45 (and others are less!).

This here is a link [I really don't know, why I can't post the pic directly Sad ] to a photo from the house, we live in.
Taken last week, we live in the complete roof storey (the balcony/terrace is on the other site and Mrs. Walter in the left window  )

Europe? This year? How about late august/early september? I'll be researching for a month in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Everything is a few hour train ride away! Slovakia is still cheapest though, hint hint!

Walter,

The guesthouse looks very nice, and $45 is a great price.

YOUR place looks very nice too.

As a gardening/landscape enthusiast, I was straining to discern what kinds of flowers/shrubs/trees are blooming at your house. I think I see some tulips, some sort of a fruit tree and ?

P.S.
Mrs. Walter must be trying to entice you into the house. Why else would she be smiling and winking like that? Very Happy
