Thank you both, Letty and Diane! I'm glad that you liked it. They were my words; as, to this day, I still know no Focus lyrics at all.

I'll make sure that I come back with more, when I write some, but I'll be reading this post until then...

co-op poetry with myself:

Born of the stream of love?

(No! born of the consciousness of need)

Still hidden among the leaves?

(and still in the arcane greenery of the forsythe bush)

You do realize that the world needs people like you in it!

(I did--I do--I don't)

Heart still constant?

(yes!)

There is no panacea.

(just a placebo)

Still following in the footsteps of faith?

(following; stumbling; searching; clinging to a rock of sand)

The last face you see may be your own.

(we were born to be alone)

Stuff and nonsense.

( I reckon)

Sheeeeeeeze!

(now just a faint glitter of laughter)

drom, lovely poem. I can only imagine the conversation with that has-been: "Hi, I'm Thijs van Leer. You may remember me from such defunct bands as Focus."

I have the urge to start a line, and feel free to add to it, but one at a time! Let's see what happens...

The spirit flies in golden armour...

Aside to Cav:

"..full many a co-op's born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air..."

I apologize for Thomas Grey as well. I should never have let him loose from my lab.

I should never have let him loose from my lab.
That dog could fetch and retrieve.
I pried his mouth open,
Extracted the foot,
But now Grey's got burger's disease.

Epitaph written in a country forum. Razz

Sorry, folks. Should you like to continue the pathos and the poignancy, don't let Toronto and Florida deter you from your appointed task.

Nice one Letty. There is something about dogs eating people that always puts a smile on my face.

But now Grey's got burgher's disease,
I rodin rode, into Calais,
but never will I buy a dog there again.

Between Letty and the prolific anonymous:

Let this be a new beginning,
No one losing; no one winning,
Just the two who sometimes touch
And if they can't
Give them to know, that sometimes
Divorces are made in heaven.

And often they are made in hell,
With clanging voice and tolling bell.

Never stay without the voice,
Never leave without a choice
That makes us prisoners
Without force.
