Speaker Boehner Doubts Immigration Bill Will Pass in 2014
By JONATHAN WEISMAN

Speaker John A. Boehner's pronouncement significantly narrowed the window for success on the issue this year and left it to President Obama to win the trust of Republicans.>>

Everyone knows why Boehner stays away from immigration, so why doesn't he come right and say it's about politics, that most immigrants will vote Democrat.

Obama, with one stroke of his pen can end all this deceit that puts more burden on the suffering immigrants by giving them all AMNESTY

@Rickoshay75,
"Amnesty" is a dirty word in Washington, DC when it comes to immigration. Using it is a sure-fire way to lose party support if you're running for re-election.

Well, it's not really the immigrants who need amnesty, it's the illegal immigrants. The legal ones have done nothing to need amnesty for.

@Brandon9000,
That's true enough as stated. However, because of the widespread opposition to the very idea of amnesty, quite a large number of children born here in the USA are subject to deportation because their parents came here illegally. What have these kids done to need amnesty for?

I guess their parents' crime will affect them. Their parents should have thought of this before they entered the country illegally. Every country in the world has the right to enforce immigration laws.

Yes but they did something illegal, by sneaking across the border.

Something wrong with the logic there but I'm still trying to figure out what you're saying.

Who's "they"?
