Haven't the time to read this in detail right now, but this caught my eye:

the attribution of the article wrote:
Howard Zinn is author of A People's History of the United States: 1492-Present
(Perennial, 2003) and co-author of Terrorism and War (Seven Story Press, 2002).

A People's History of the United States: 1492-Present bears precisely the same relationship to history as Christian Science does to science. Although i would not dismiss what he writes out of hand, the book with which Mr. Zinn is credited is one of the most specious collection of New Left myths and stereotypes which has ever been dressed up in historical drag and paraded for a gullible public of which i have any knowledge. That makes me cautious about anything else he will write.

Zinn's views are given along with eight others, which is what I liked about this one. They don't all agree with eachother, that's for sure!

Any closed and inflexible body of ideology, based largely on traditional standards, and maintaining the status quo of seriously vested interests will, when applied to the 'real world' create 'dissaster'.

Look at the 'creed' of the Vatican, and its effect on the entire western world.

The 'Bush Buddies' are no different (but hopefully less tenacious).
