It is past time for anything that Ashcroft says to be believed, or as a matter of fact anyone in this Administration.
Oh and Clinton's administration was gospel wasn't it?
Like with any "news" story. You have to realize there are 3 stories. The left news agency story, the right news agency story and the truth is somewhere in the middle of the two.
So, saintsfanbrian will now enlighten us as to what the truth is, as he sees it, regarding this story. Trying to stay in the middle, as he tells us why he thinks the attorney general changed his travel plans.
Someone at the FBI made the decision to make the change, we know that, but who and why?
Go ahead, saintsfanbrian.
Apparently, the "truth" is the propaganda heard on Fox News and Limbaugh's radio program -- at least for those souls manning the wagons as they circle George Bush.
I saw an article that said the mayor of San Francisco was warned not to fly Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, 2001 by the FBI. He had planned a trip to NYC and he cancelled it.
If I can find it, I'll post it for all to see.
There's no doubt in my mind that Bush knew. He had been warned and the FBI was warning big city mayors to remain grounded.
What a shame 3,000 people had to die so Bush could have his Reichstag?
"What a shame 3,000 people had to die so Bush could have his Reichstag?" deecups36
Greaaaaaaat screen name, Miss Dee!
Yes, Bush needed his Reichstag alright. Well said.
Was the article at Common dreams or Democratic Underground perhaps?
Now wait a minute, I'm a left leaning commie pinko but I can't stomach that 9/11-Reichstag crap. Either support your contention or...or
I'll hold my breath til my face turns blue.
Gettouddaheah!
Village Voice, McG. Says so right at the top.
Can you muster any retort to the subject matter (as opposed to the source)?
For example, why was it too dangerous for Asscrotch to fly commercial but safe for everyone else?
Sorry, I should have quoted Deecups36 so you would know what I was referring to.
This is from the San Francisco Chronicle's website:
Brown got low-key warning about 9/11 travel
The Chronic is the Bay Area's remaining daily newspaper, owned by the Hearst Corporation.
I worked for the Hearsts for a decade at three different papers.
That was during my Republican period. You can take my word for it they ain't liberal.
Now then; topic?
