Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could identify this oil painting: http://www.padronius.com/downloads/old-man-smoking-pipe.jpg

or the artist: http://www.padronius.com/downloads/old-man-smoking-pipe-signature.jpg

The top image of the signature is the original and the other two are what I got by filtering it through Photoshop in hope to make it more readable.

All I know about it is that, most likely, is of Eastern European origin.

The painting itself has almost a vanGogh quality to it, but I don't recognize the signature at all.

Hi Andrei and thanks for the response. I've been trying to make sense of that signature for quite some time now. I've even shown it to Sothebys, Christies, Doyles and others and they could not decipher it. What can I say?

You might have better luck searching for the image on a web search engine if it were uploaded to photobucket or imageshack.
