@Butrflynet,
How did I find your answer for you? I copied your question to a Google search and the Yahoo help page was the first entry.

Sometimes a lot of wait time for answers can be reduced by asking the question in a Google search.

@Butrflynet,
I would like to remove google as homepage and go back to my yahoo. I'll have to see if google will get all smarmy with me about this. It seems like the only way to get google search bar back is to make the thing the home page.

New computer blues, by the way.

@roger,
Don't remember which browser you are using so can't give you specifics, but there is a setting about making the current web page your homepage. Navigate to the page you want to be the new home page and select the "make current page my home page" option.

@roger,
Hey, it worked! Just one button to push.

It's hard to imagine how many little settings are tucked away in an old computer till you have to adapt to a new one, and one with an unfamiliar os to boot. I went from Vista to Windows 7 after adroitly avoiding Windows 8. Maybe at my age, both will last a lifetime.
