Celibacy is not for everyone, the New Testament calls celibacy a "gift"...

Males are brutes, though either sex can become stigmatized
by bad relationships and seek the solace of celibacy...

As for males caring about the poor,
the statistics don't lie. Women are more often abandoned
by their male mates and left to raise children alone.

There are of course exceptions to every rule...

Also, celibacy can simply just be a lifestyle or religious choice
for some and does not necessarily require a traumatic experience to be considered.

Is Pope Francis the Antichrist?
He certainly seems to fit the bill because he said he doesn't believe in hell, maybe Satan is speaking through him to try to make us drop our guard by thinking "Wowee, there's no hell to worry about, so we can go and be nasty bastards"..Smile
Also, Popey talks the talk about giving to the poor, yet the catholic church is sitting on art treasures and stuff that could be sold off for millions and the cash handed out to charities, so there again his satanic message is that you can follow his example by hanging on to your cash for yourself and not give it away to poor schmucks.
Oh and let's not forget that he (and all Caths) pray to Mary instead of to God and Jesus, so their prayers are as useless as blank cartridges..Smile
Like i said, Popey certainly fits the antichrist bill but he can't get under the bibles radar-

"Such a man is the antichrist, he denies the Father and the Son" (1 John 2:22/3)
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ, and no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Cor 11:13/14)

@OmSigDAVID,
Oh so screw the poor and more money for the filthy rich huh?

I thought you actually had a valid point. I see it is just mindless blathering.

David have you ever slung hamburgers all day over TWO giant sized hot grills in a Wendys restaurant for less than 5 dollars an hour? (Actually the busiest Wendys in the world.) Have you ever gone home after working 8 hours in these horrendous conditions and earned only 36 dollars all day?

Oh I forgot you worked for the government, they sit all day on their asses and eventually collect huge pensions off the backs of hard working Americans. Part of the thirty six dollars I had to pay into social security and taxes to pay YOUR huge salary and pension...

Have you ever had a teenage manager screaming in your face because you are not trying to beat the store record of mopping the dining room floor in less than 5 minutes?

Have you ever had to sweep, mop and buff an entire supermarket floor and have it done in 3 hours at 6AM in the morning for less than 5 dollars an hour?

Have you ever work as a restaurant dishwasher and had to wipe people's food of their dirty plates with your bare hand for less than 5 dollars an hour?

I am starting to think 'ignorant' is too good a word for what ails you...

And being a devout christian man at the time I was obedient to the biblical scripture that said, "work heartily as unto the lord". What a crock that turned out to be!

Ah, but Jesus said "The work God requires is to believe in the one he has sent" (John 6:28 )
And Paul said- "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philip 2:12 KJV)

That's why people have become monks and nuns and mystics through the centuries and live in remote monasteries and convents so they can get away from the ratracing world to do their own thing in peace and quiet.
My late dad was a workaholic (literally) and it sent him half-nutty, he said to my mam "That factories my life!"
And after I left school I hadn't got a job so he used to hammer on my bedroom door at the crack of dawn yelling "Come on, get out of bed and look for a job, they're crying out for people at the glue factory!"
But I just thought "Oh stick it!" and turned over and went back to sleep..Smile

Yea; just passing the time.

RexRed wrote:

No. I never accepted a contract like that.

RexRed wrote:

Never.

Well, no; I used to get up occasionally
to stroll around the room, to keep awake.

RexRed wrote:

No. My only duty was to pay the check.
Did u promise to do that ?

RexRed wrote:

NO. I have never accepted work like that. Screw that. I got better work.
It consisted mostly of conferring, sometimes arguing.
At an early age, I learned that I was good at that.

RexRed wrote:

No; not for any amount.
Lawyering paid better; cleaner.
I never considered restaurant work, tho one of my clients
was a Chinese restauranteur; got free lobster from him.

Ignorant OF WHAT???
Then TELL me, and if I believe u,
then I will not be "ignorant"

@OmSigDAVID,
Ignorance is bliss...

I think I am a better person for working my way up from the bottom.

Where you David just seem oblivious, uncaring, unfeeling and incapable of empathy toward those less fortunate than you. No wonder why you cannot understand the new Pope.

This shallow concern for others also exemplifies the callused, cold-hearted republicans that you vote into office.
