Lol. So now fascists control Google, that's a good one. Laughing

The fact that Google can't find it because the information is being so tightly controlled. Rolling Eyes

Funny how the earlier critics of this article, ready to string me up for daring to post it first, have now all gone silent. Laughing

Silent? No, just ignoring it as a non-entity.

Guess for some, a story must appear on Fox News to be "real."

Or CNN, or BBC, or MSNBC, or ABC, or FOX, or API, or UPI, or any other of the "major" news sources...

Don't recall anybody wanting to string anybody up. But a long time ago, my mama taught me that it is pointless to argue with fanatics, zealots, and/or idiots. Admittedly I do lapse and do it anyway now and then, but when something is so off the wall and remains uncorroborated by any other credible source, I would be pretty much a fanatic, zealot, and/or idiot if I thought it necessary to spend much time in rebutting it.

I don't feel any need to "rebutt" anything. Especially to those who inhabit the wagons circling George W. Bush. The story has been reported by numerous news agencies and until I see evidence that proves to my satisfaction it's false, I will continue reporting it.

and please continue doing so. No one can keep up with every thing and it's the ability to have multiple people looking at multiple sources that makes a forum like this a good place to come to.

It seems that, like a wave, it is extending from it's epicenter in Australia.

To France acording to one of those links and one of the other is spanish. I think I have stated before that I don't speak spanish nor do I intend on doing so. None of those sites go on to qualify who broke the story and we have only ambiguous quotes to rely on.

I think for now I will have to take it on face value and say that it could have happened. War does strange things to people and it wouldn't suprise me if the troops were a little jumpy. How many have been killed by roadside bombs, people dressed as civilians with bombs strapped to them? You live with that for a couple of months and show me that you aren't a little jumpy when some one doesn't follow your instructions. Lets face it people, right now, the coalition forces are the police over there, whether you like it or not, and when the police tell you to do something - law abiding citizens do it with out question. You can always go back later and sue the cops but in the mean time you get out of your car, put your hands behind your head and let them do what they have to to get you back on your way.

All the links--at least those I could get to work--appearedto be verbatim copies of the original Aussie piece--several cited that source also. The one piece that varied appears to be a shorter paraphrase of the original piece with no original comment or different information.

It just seems bizarre that only one news source would be aware of this event if it in fact did happen. There is no way I believe that the other mainstream media would not have put out this story if they had it. I can't know for sure since I wasn't there. But with no more than we have to go on, it just doesn't ring true.

Of course, CNN doesn't think the killing of innocent Iraqi women and children is newsworthy.

And so it goes.................
