That was part of a set of hypotheses for what might have happened, since we didn't know which of many possibilities would turn out to be true. It was also said in a jesting or joshing manner.

He didn't say this guy is a loser for sure, it was only a possibility. You didn't understand what he wrote, and then got all angry and insulting.

That was an option and in jest. The other option was a happy family. It was a joke.

I hope so. Because now, it's been a while and I still have not gone down there. Primarily because I had been relying on my friend, whom has in fact promised me she would go with me, and take me this week. But now she hasn't gotten back to me, and seems to be refusing to reply to a text. Done. If she wants to be an ignorant asshole(in plain English, excuse my French) be my damn guest. What a nice way to end the year. Now I'm left to this being entirely up to myself, and I'm desperate for help. The last time we went and it had failed, the track gate is locked, everything is covered in snow, so the only way I could see him is for me to walk around the construction site, pick a spot to eventually stand hoping he sees me. Probably going to go right after school on Thursday. Help would be much appreciated though, from anyone at this point

it does seem odd that you've spent this amount of time sort of hoping someone else will help you meet this man. you may not feel obsessed with him, but it presents that way when you go on about someone you haven't met.
