I hope you're not belittling my sincere attempts to get to know that handsome barman. I know what I'm doing you know!

I've just arranged with a friend for us to go down there and hide behind one of the chairs in the bar for three hours for no reason other than us being able to say that I managed to get near him for so long.

Sigh.

I've just discovered that my barman is on his day off tomorrow, so my friend and I are having to hide behind the chair all night until he comes in the following day.

I don't even have to go anywhere.

My yardman is right out front, scrubbing the skirting and porch railings. I can see him clearly if I stand to the side of the front window and peek through the verticals.
