This is so annoying. Every date I've suggested has been turned down and now it's impossible for me, you meet... I'm beginning to feel paranoid. Sad

I have been waiting for you to feel that, Clary, it is amazing to watch from afar. I wish someone somewhere would meet you, dadgummit.

I will meet Clary, willingly. And I'd like to do that. No need for paranoia. We do live a long way apart, however.
Just the same, my kinswoman has asked me to go to Honkers....may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb, what, in for a penny, in for a pound and all that. (not too serious at the moment....but I really should be taking advantage of the opportunity while she is there)

By the way Gautam, if we are meeting early (which I suppose will be straight from work for you) should we go somewhere in the open air, a pub with a beer garden, a terrace by the river, something like that?

Doesn't have to be a pub, either, does it....a nice cafe or lite bite restaurant

a bus shelter

a park bench

This is Mctag's better half - I have been given leave to write again under his byline.

What Mctag really meant to say to you Gautam, was that we would like to meet up as early as possible as we too have to be away early on Tues am. (I don't know what Mctag was thinking saying 2000 hrs).

Any of the venues would be good especially riverside near to the Tate Modern as we are staying near there. Looking forward to meeting up where and whenever.

I'm having dinner with her tomorrow night, so there. And you should certainly visit while she's here, it's a must-see.

Walter- why are you posting pictures of Berlin in November?

And don't you know that it's always sunny and warm in England in September? I will be bringing my sunglasses and parasol.

Yeah, you have every right to whinge. But then, I've given a huge number of possible dates, and been to London at least 3 times since this was mooted - isn't anyone going to be there on 17th Sept? Or 18th???

OK, I was wondering about Monday (so soon!).

There are a couple of choices on the South Bank near the Tate Modern.

1. Vinopolis - wine specialists http://www.vinopolis.co.uk/

2. Doggett's Coat & Badge - dodgy pub by Blackfriars Bridge with little to recommend it, except that I know where it is!!! Laughing

3. The pub next to the Globe Theatre (just before the rail bridge from Cannon Street). If it's a good day, which the BBC site seems to indicate, this could be good.

Suggestion: we meet in the bar at Vinopolis (where we can also get food) and then go outside if it's too nice to be in.

Time? I will probably be tied up until about 6:30-7:00pm but that's no reason for others not to start drinking earlier! Drunk

Well done, KP, for coming up with some venues.

I'm fine with any of them. I'm happy for around 6.30 or earlier at the Vinopolis if everyone else agrees.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

I'd sell my soul to be there.

Anybody know what are souls going for these days?
