Do you know what is the bad news here - the mirror does not do anything of the kind. It simply does not dispose with the engine of the right type to do so ... and it doesn't matter how many books per nanosecond you may read - this is not the case.
It is the vision system of our brain that is 'flipping' the image from front to back in order to synchronize the surface of the image with the surface of the mirror ... but this is very different from what you are saying.
