Was the US justified in going to war in Afghanistan?

I want to know how you feel about our presence in Afghanistan. You don't hear much about it anymore. We're too focused on Iraq.

Not many people care about Afghanistan or the people there.
The US and it's allies didn't need to overthrow the Taliban to hunt for Al Q. If the US hadn't of diverted $180 Billion, troops and CIA to Iraq and instead spent some money & troop force to find Al Q. to face them down and spent money on the reconstruction of Afghanistan the money would have been more well spent.

Yes we were. The better question might be, "Is the US to blame for the fact that Afghanistan is returning to its pre-war state?" The answer would also be "yes" in my opinion. Sad
