June 16, 1918?-Eugen V. Debs made his famous anti-war speech in Canton, Ohio, protesting World War I. For this speech he was arrested and convicted in federal court in Cleveland, Ohio under the war-time espionage law. In 1920 while serving his prison sentence in the Federal Prison at Atlanta GA he ran for president and received over one million votes. Yes indeed this is america and anything can happen.
The fact that Bush got elected is proof enough for me.
A black, female, Republican president ...
well, that alone would almost be worth the impact her policies would have.
It would definitely be better than Cheney in 2008.
But now I'm running out of nice things to say ;-)
She'll never get past Jeb in the primaries.
