Whatever You Want to Say

I'd just like to say I think that woman wouldn't sell Oprah that handbag because she is black, not because she is fat.

Wha - ?

Didja read the store owner denied it all?

Nooo! I read that she said it wasn't a "black" thing.

Just a thing, thing.

Naturally I forget where I read that.

I've never watched Oprah - that was daytime tv, wasn't it? I phased out of watching tv around the end of the nineties. But a friend knows her, not as best friends but socially somehow via work, likes her. And my b/c surgeon was part of some Oprah effort to put out good medical advice, something like ten years ago.

That doesn't surprise me considering once they discovered Oprah was a somebody with a billion plus dollars and could really cause the store pain. The same thing manifested itself re the actress/singer Jennifer Lopez who was turned a way from a very high priced dress by the saleslady's reasoning the dress was out of of the Latino's price range.
