What bus goes to Alpha Centauri

Stop the planet I want to get off.
Story of me life...always wanting to get off.

Anyhow and never, I'm looking for the quickest way to get to Alpha Centauri.
What number bus should I get or is there a quicker way?.

You really should pick another destination. Alpha Centauri is a star (two stars, actually)...and you cannot live on a star. They are hot.

Binary I know.

Have they not discovered an Earth sized planet near Alpha Centauri B? and if they haven't then get me there and maybe I would.

Give us a lend of your bus pass Frank.

Yeah, they did discover the closest exoplanet there, but the temperature on the planet's surface is estimated to be 1100 degrees. If you go, bring lots of lotion.

The "it is a star" was just busting balls. Too early to get into serious stuff.

And for the record, there are times, particularly during some of the discussions here in A2K (not in this thread) where I, too, want to get off the planet! Wink

@eurocelticyankee,
There is only one way off this planet... and we all have a ticket.

@eurocelticyankee,
Proxima centauri is closer and planets catch a sun's heliocentric spiral around a galaxy ceteris paribus.

@eurocelticyankee,
The planet is not B but Bb (Alpha Centauri Bb), and has surface temperature of 1200 deg. C (four times more horrible than Venus).
Besides it is at a distance of 4.37 lys, and if you succeed to travel with 0.1 the speed of light you will arrive there in 43.7 earth years.
Isn't it more easy to fix the climate change here down on the Earth instead of making astro-spam on the net.

Take the M13 express. Get a free transfer for the AC 19 local at Betelgeuse. Then in just a few light years, you'll be there.
