My favorite, "Six Feet Under" is in for more competition this year -- it won last year. For me, the drama has everything going for it -- characters with depth, situations and circumstances that have to do with real life, scripts and storylines with imagination and panache, and directing and acting that are a benchmark for television drama. Peter Krause really has a chance this year even against Gandolfini but lookout for Keifer!

I'm crushed. Songebob Squarepants wasn't even mentioned.
Seriously, I'm not a fan of episodic television, leaning more toward informational than entertaiment content. I know virtually nothing of The Series. I have seen a number of the mini-series/movies category, however. I enjoyed The Gathering Storm very much, despite some quibbles arising from my understanding of history, and among the others I thought Live From Baghdad was well done, if a bit cheap in the Special Effects category. I would rank Gathering Storm as my choice for top spot in the category, and likely Give Keaton the Best Actor nod for his performance in Baghdad, and Best Actress to Helena Bonham Carter in the same film. I have no basis from which to choose a supporting actress, though I would give Donald Sutherland the nod for his work in The Path to War.
