We have a large veterinarian waiting room with a decorative nylon area rug. The waiting room gets cleaned and vaccumed each day, but having trouble with the dog hair clinging to the rug and soiling from paws etc. Looking for suggestions or experience re a better rug solution ... Would wool hold up better to soiling, would indoor/outdoor rug clean up better with shedding?

@Lau Fra,
I would suggest you get rid of the rug.

@Peter Frouman,
Yes that's a consideration, but it's a client nd she wants a rug.

@Lau Fra,
You're working with a vet that wants a rug?

@ehBeth,
Yes. The large room is laminate flooring, ie. hard surface & washable. There's a small area with two chairs on an area rug ... That's the rug in question.

@Lau Fra,
You'll have to find a rug that can be machine-washed every day. Cotton may be the only option.
