I have a strange growing fascination with objects, toys, books, etc. from my childhood. It is so out of control I can't make myself part with the Elves and Fairies golden book for my own granddaughter. I actually found a child's mug exactly like the one I had when I was little. Can't stand to send it, even though I bought it "for her"!
I think this behavior is nuts. I'm 60 years old. I'm poor. I live 50 miles away from civilization. Has ANYONE ever heard of this peculiarity? I'd appreciate some suggestions- is there a name for this strange hoarding?
@missconduct,
No, you have selfish grandma love.
They all have big meaning to YOU, but may not be that important to them. They are things important to you from your PAST.
Send those "gifts" right now. And stop buying until they ASK for certain things.
@PUNKEY,
Oh you clever Punkey. Thanks.
@missconduct,
LOL - I speak from experience. 5 grandkids.
