Log, you appear to be seeking conclusive proofs for just about (and) everything - There are none.
You either draw your own conclusions or trust in others'.

Sorry, but I don't buy the Reader's Digest !

I see. I have never heard of Reader's Digest before, so I'm assuming its some kind of pamphlet, or magazine. But still, I am drawing theories on my own, not relying on some kind of source that tells me this is right, and this is false.

@mark noble,
That's what I'm doing. Also, of course there are conclusive proofs for things. Not everything, but somethings. One plus one is always two. I know that I exist because I am able to doubt my own existence. Rene Descartes: "I think therefore I am."

@rosborne979,
I am. I'm learning from all of your answers, and how to apply it to my own thinking.

@mark noble,
Well, I think that you think that the only real Truth is the one you decide for yourself, so I cannot convince you otherwise.

The conclusions of everyone are flexible in a certain degree.

I'm glad. I sometimes forget that not everybody has explored this line of reasoning already (I've been here a long time and seen a lot of threads). It's nice to see a fresh open mind on the boards. Enjoy. And welcome to a2K.
