eoe, you make a potent point....just like lamb shanks, which were once junk meat, sold for a penny, oxtails have become 'trendy' here, and command a higher price these days. It's mind-boggling, but it happens. Oxtail is still cheaper than lamb shank these days. Rolling Eyes Time will tell.

Went to the butcher yesterday: 7 slices of ossobuco, 2 ginormous ribeye steaks, 3/4 lb. of house-made bacon and a can of Italian tomatoes, $24.00 and change. That's what I call a deal.
