I've just heard a report on NPR that police in Falls Church, Virginia, have taken into custody an armed man who appears to have been bent on shooting Richard Clarke. The commentator claims the police said he identified an official of the Bush-Cheney campaign as having contracted the intended murder. I'll post more as soon as i can get more information.
"Yeah...it was a broad...I dunno, she was in a goddamn ski mask, like I toldya...****, I needed the fifty bucks, man, and that's all the bitch would pay...yeah, she was blonde, kinda skinny, wouldn'ta stuck in in her though, real cold icy hag...oh yeah, her driver called her Ann...and she said 'god bless you' when I took the dough."
The people around Bush have to silence Clarke somehow.

I wonder if this will hurt Bush's approval ratings.................probably not. His supporters will identify the incident as, "just another attack on the President, election year politics" and wonder about the timing of the report. Anyway, all administrations murder their opponents, don't they?..........take the Clinton Administration.
