My folks made sure I would survive to adulthood by teaching me to treat strangers and others politely to the point I would never had dream of launching an all out attack on an adult even if he did something to annoy me.

Nor do I remember as a late teenager being proud of my ability to fight leaving that nonsense behind when I enter middle school.

If there was any danger of any of my group not reaching adulthood it have more to do with cars and doing such things as mixing chemicals to boost the octane. My friend Charlie destroy a corner of his parents basement late one night in an attempt to created an additive to add twenty or so horse power to his car in that manner.

Wisely he decided that being a chemical engineer was not a career for him and
he became a civil engineer instead. Hell it was a good thing that he did not decided to be a mechanical engineer given how many engines he blow up.

Sorry but none of us was hoodlums and if we wish added money we did not get it by stealing women jewelry but by getting part time jobs.

The person lying on the ground cooling off seems to fit the label predator far better then Zimmerman.

I'm 65 too mate and have never been attacked, it's as if people can sense I'm a nice regular guy and go attack somebody else!
We over-60's were educated in the 1950s/60's and were taught that everything is a clear cut black/white issue with no grey areas, and as a result we grew up with minds as sharp as razors.
Sadly, later generations have been taught by leftist teachers that nothing is a clear cut black/white issue, and that there are always grey areas that need to be discussed and examined from every angle.
