I do not know about other states but in Florida the state have a very very poor record of getting such convictions against cops going back many decades.

Most Jurors seems willing to give the benefit of the doubt when it come to police officers feeling that they need to act in self defense.

By living in the state of Florida and reading the state newspapers since 1969 or so almost every day for those decades and taking note of the outcome of such cases of cops being charge with wrongful killings.

Somehow I do not think that the newspapers would falsely report acquittals in such cases when the verdicts was guilt........LOL

@BillRM,
You wrote about the jury on cases. I don't think the media reports false endings to a trial.

What I do know is if the media doesn't have the full story, they report false info.

That is an opinion of mine as to why those trials do end for the most part end with acquittals.

Wonderful. BillRM once again argues it's perfectly reasonable to kill an unarmed black man purely on suspicion. And claims he's not racist.

It is reasonable that if you run at a cop responding to a 911 home break in call you just might be shot no damn matter what your skin color happen to be.

Everything is not connected to color even if racists like you wish to sell that nonsense.

You're the one who keeps posting about crimes committed by young black men, in an attempt to sell your racist nonsense.

North Carolina disagrees with you, which is why the cop is being charged with manslaughter. No long delays, no waffling. Which shows that NC is at least a bit more civilized than Florida.

More likely it means that they do not wish for a visit from Sharpton and Jackson and are bending before the wind even kicked up.

In any case, would you like to lay a bet that a jury will **** kicked the charges to the same degree that the Florida jury did concerning Zimmerman?

Selling that every white person actions is motivate by racism or skin color to a jury is not all that simple to do.

The man actions frighten the hell out of a home owner before he charge a cop rolling up to the scene.

Yes, I know both the home owner and the cop was frighten and concern due to his skin color not his actions......BULLSHIT

Come on Hawkeye yourself, man frighten the hell out of homeowner who call 911 and when a police office roll up to the scene a very big former football player charge at him.

Maybe you would run/charge a police officer who is investigating a possible attempted home invasion/break-in but I sure the hell would not do so.

what I read is that he ran to a door asking for help and the homeowner slammed the door shut and hit the panic button on her home security system, and that the cops rolled not ever talking to her to find out what the problem was. is this where we are today, panicky people asking for help are assumed to be threats? wait, is it panicky black people asking for help are assumed to be threats? I know we have a big problem with blacks deciding to turn to crime, but I dont think the situation is that bad.

@hawkeye10,
By the way let try a little experiment you will have your wife call 911 and acting frighten report that someone is pounding on your door and might be trying to break in.

When the first cop car roll on to the scene you" charge/run for help" toward him and we will see how he will react.

Somehow I do not think that the cop will even take note of your skin color as he pull his gun.
