I have a rather large painting (5 feet x 3.5 feet) that I have propped up on leather cubes leaning against the wall. Do you think that's ok? Wish I could post a pic.

@krisalb,
It's fine with me.

As many people have done 1000s of time here, you need to post the image on a (free) site like photobucket and then post the link here.

@krisalb,

upload the image to a free hosting site like photobucket.

wrap the url in img tags like this --

Code:[img]url[/img]

preview your post to make sure the image is
a) visible
b) the size you want it to be

@krisalb,
It looks good but I think 5 feet is too large for a normal wall.

Hanging picture is creative idea and give bare walls a new lease of life ...But without seeing picture we can't say that it works well or not.

Another way of posting pics in forums-
1- Take a picture of the item with your cellphone or digicam and upload it to your computer.
2- Send it in an email to a friend who's got an image-hosting account
3- He then puts the pic into his account and he e-mails you a link.
4- You then post the link into a forum post..Smile

@krisalb,
I too have a framed painting that I would like to put in room, but the background is the same color as the wall. Will it look apt, or clash? Please give some suggestions.
