What does it mean to be self-destructive?

To be "self-destructive" can mean several things. Whether it is a good thing, a "good thing", or if good or "good" even have value in that context seems to depend on the particular meaning(s) attributed to the earlier terms.

You can't destroy the self because the self (as I understand it) is imaginary.
