What does it mean to be self-destructive?

Is it a good thing to be?

@Cyracuz,
That depends on what you mean by "self."

To be "self-destructive" can mean several things. Whether it is a good thing, a "good thing", or if good or "good" even have value in that context seems to depend on the particular meaning(s) attributed to the earlier terms.

@Cyracuz,
Note that Freud made a good living with his system based on the primary axiom of "the death wish" (all individuals are driven to return to a state of blissful quiesence).

Perhaps this Frank is not as sure as you are that there are "other Franks."

I wonder...how do you know there are?

You can't destroy the self because the self (as I understand it) is imaginary.

Or then again, perhaps you can, because perhaps the "self" is not imaginary.

I really do not know. I supect nobody else does either.

Please note the enlarged words above.

Perhaps you meant to write: Perhaps you can't destroy the self because the self (as I understand it) is imaginary.

@Frank Apisa,
Next time it (the brain) engages in an internal dialogue, see if it can identify the participants. Wink
