Pitter, that's beautiful; it inspires me to do collage, something I've flirted with for a long time. What is your ground, a board, canvas, etc?. What do you use for glue? Do I see varnish on it? If you don't want to reveal your methods to too many people, please pm me.
Actually I didn't even make it I just photographed it. Publicity for puplic events in Colombian cities consists of slapping up posters on public walls one on top of another. I suppose when they get too thick the poster slaper justs ripps off the last layer or two. I don't know what they use for glue but it must be pretty good since the old posters manage to stay put pretty well. Anyway walking around these cities you see one wonderfull collage after another.
So this poster is the product of serendipity. Marvelous. I think I'll change my name to JLSerendipity so I can get credit for such wonderful phenomena.
I think JLimpromtu has a nice ring to it :=}
As in Jazzy-J?
What about a name for you?
Jazzy-J? hmmm, sounds rather..Slllllllick.
For me let's see.....hmmmm...
not Paula Poundstone, no way
Thinking, (scratching head, one raised brow). How 's this......
Paula-panorama? (because i have a broad scope of absolutely nothing)
Paula-polarity (this actually was a nickname given to me, long story)
thoughts...
How about Paul Phenomenal? It's sufficiently modest when you realize that everything is phenomenal.
Paula Phenomenal....Hmmm......I like it!
Phenomenal is sufficently modest? Sounds like a paradox.
How about Paula Paradox!
Do you feel comfortable with Paula Paradise?
Is it taken by anyone else? he he
It DOES sound like a stripper's name. I admit.
That's a nice shot, Pitter. I first saw a wall of ripped and torn posters-on-posters like your photo in NYC many years ago. There is an art to it, in all it's raggedy splendor. Kind of like graffiti.
"Raggedy Splender" now THAT has a nice ring to it!
Well those really do evoke Detroit as I recall it.
They sure do, I'm glad I don't live in the city. The suburbs are the place for me.
