By any estimation, Obama placed himself in an embarrassing situation when he backed off his blustery threat, regarding chemical weapons use, to the Syrian regime.

TR asserted "Walk softly and carry a big stick." Obama's interpretation seems to be "Walk toughly and carry a limp dick."

I am not in favor of US military intervention in Syria, but I am not content with agreeing broadly with the president.

Should we not expect that our president can explain (without a load of double-speak crap) why it was in the interest of America to intervene in Libya but it isn't in the case of Syria?
