A perfect evening walk in my neighborhood.
Smells of various flowers in bloom and ground that's been turned. Enjoying the way the sidewalks rise and fall because of the huge live oaks and pecans that grow. Listening to some people doing their wash up after supper, the clinks of plates being put away. Smelled some kind of wood someone was using for a barbeque. A dog barking.
A quiet street.
Today is national lemonade stand day.
Our neighbor is selling home juiced lemonade with additional offerings of shots of home juiced watermelon and lime.
We're walking over to get some, and bringing a jug with us.
@chai2,
Chai when you get to be an old man like me you will enjoy the trivial everyday stuff even moreso, each passing afternoon being more valuable. My two favorites, three bottles of The Brew on Tuesday and popcorn Friday eve
@dalehileman,
I hope I never get to be an old man!
I have much more appreciation for the simple things. Things that are already there, rather than any planned trip, or anything that involves buying tickets and having to be with more than 3 people at a time.
