You've just debunked the propaganda that is the US's entire foreign policy, Max. It's been extraordinarily effective since the US's own terrorist beginnings.

@Miller,
Quote:
Let these foreign guys go to England if they want to "learn English", not come to Boston.

You probably didn't even realize that your racist rant contained some good advice, Miller.

Quote:
April 16 is the 50th anniversary of the publication of a little book that is loved and admired throughout American academe. Celebrations, readings, and toasts are being held, and a commemorative edition has been released.

I won't be celebrating.

The Elements of Style does not deserve the enormous esteem in which it is held by American college graduates. Its advice ranges from limp platitudes to inconsistent nonsense. Its enormous influence has not improved American students' grasp of English grammar; it has significantly degraded it.

max's program is also idiotic...knowing and paying attention group membership is extremely helpful in risk assessment. works/does not work is often the more important yardstick over good/bad. important to survival which is of course more important than feeding our rigorousness.

"important to survival" - you are one dumb, ******* idiot, Hawkeye. Who do you figure is the most dangerous when it comes to your survival, the Maldives or Vanuatu?

For god's sakes, stop spouting your propagandist bullshit; look at the facts. Your "rigorousness" only consists of raping and pillaging innocent countries and murdering millions.

CNN and the Globe report that the police have video of a suspect seen dropping a black bag just before the 2nd explosion.

@realjohnboy,
Quote:
Investigators believe they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, a source who
has been briefed on the investigation told CNN's John King exclusively.

The breakthrough came from analysis of video from a department store near the site of the second
explosion. Video from a Boston television station also contributed to the progress, said the source,
who declined to be more specific but called it a significant development.

@ossobuco,
Excellent posting, Osso. It makes me thrill inside when I read good stuff like that coming from Americans.

@ossobuco,
In view of the fact that the majority of the 911 hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia along with a large percent of the total leadership of middle east terrorists such as Bin Laden it seems not unreasonable to look at a young Saudi found in the middle of a terrorist attack.on US soil.

@gungasnake,
You do realize of course, Gunga, that you are engaging in what is a time honored tactic of the US, diversionary propaganda.

You're also exhibiting another thing that many Americans are noted for - abysmal ignorance.

They appear to have arrested a suspect in the bombing.

@firefly,
Did you hear reports that the suspect groped some of the bystanders, FF? Is that why you are here?

@frankthorpNBC Chairman McCaul: "I have confirmation from the FBI that they have not, they do not have anybody in custody at this time."

@Walter Hinteler,
The mumbo-jumbo probably means that whoever this person is he's joining them voluntarily at this point and is not officially in custody or under arrest.
