Transgender Runners Can Race Boston Marathon Under Identified Gender

So? I don't know what to think. What do you think? Hear any backlashes or anecdotes regarding other sports where this already has happened?

@tsarstepan,
In a very famous case from the seventies, Renee Richards, a transgendered female, won a New York State Supreme Court ruling to compete in professional tennis as a woman. She did quite well.

Red Smith, my favorite sportswriter, was parodying the argument of those fans against allowing Richards to compete by asking, "If Richards wins a championship this way, could Illie Nastase be far behind?"

@oralloy,
Is there anyone else willing to say that this is ridiculous. Forcing someone born female to take drugs to alter their natural hormone levels... it's ridiculous.

The obvious answer is just to eliminate the idea of gender in sports, and just have everyone compete on the same level.
