No one is allowed into our building at this time. If we leave we cannot come back in.

According to boston police two dead 23 injured. It is quiet right now - I don't hear any sirens.

JFK Library official: Fire not related to marathon explosions

By Bill Forry
Apr. 15, 2013

The director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum says that a 3 p.m. fire inside the building's mechanical room was not caused by a device and is apparently not related to the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.

Tom Putnam, the director of the JFK Library, said that the incident was confined to a mechanical room near the archive section of the library.

@Butrflynet,
Most major cities seem to have gone to a heightened state of alert, and the White House is "sort of in lock-down mode" according to CNN.

Law enforcement believes these explosions were intentional. Vice President Biden has referred to them as "bombings".

@Butrflynet,
Any word on Joe Nation? He was planning on running the NY Marathon before Sandy; did he take on the Boston Marathon, instead?

Even London is on alert because of Boston explosions.

City of Chicago reports no security threats in Chicago at this time.

I'd not realized before that the marathon is run on a Monday. Irrelevant I guess, just a surprise to me.
